What We Guarantee
Our guarantees cover the workmanship on new installations carried out by our own team. The guarantee period depends on the type of work, as set out below.

Guarantees apply to new installations completed by Advanced Damp and are provided in writing on completion, along with your specification and product documentation.
Optional Insurance-Backed Guarantee
For damp proofing works, you can choose to add an insurance-backed guarantee. It is an optional extra available on request, not included as standard, giving you a further layer of security on top of our own company guarantee.

The insurance-backed guarantee is provided through an established UK provider specialising in consumer protection for works including damp proofing. Each policy is tailored to the individual property, and full terms and the period of cover are confirmed with your guarantee documentation.
Selling Your Property Later
When you come to sell, your buyer's solicitor will often ask for evidence of any damp or waterproofing works and the guarantee that covers them. Because our paperwork is clear and, for damp proofing, any insurance-backed cover you have taken transfers to the new owner, that part of the conveyancing process is straightforward. Keep your guarantee certificate and specification safe, and contact us any time if you need a copy.

How long is the guarantee on waterproofing and tanking?
Cavity drain membrane waterproofing, structural waterproofing and tanking slurry systems are each guaranteed for 10 years from completion. The guarantee covers the workmanship on new installations carried out by our team and is provided to you in writing.
Is an insurance-backed guarantee available?
An insurance-backed guarantee is available as an optional extra on damp proofing works. It is not included as standard, but you can choose to add it. It protects the guarantee if the contractor ceases trading and is tailored to the individual property.
Does the guarantee transfer if I sell my home?
Where you have taken the optional insurance-backed guarantee on damp proofing, it transfers automatically and free of charge to the new owner when you sell, which can help with the sale and add value. We can reissue a copy of your guarantee paperwork at any time.
What does the guarantee cover?
Our guarantees cover the workmanship of the specific installation we carried out, against defects in that work for the stated period. They do not cover unrelated building defects, new sources of moisture or damage caused after completion. Your written guarantee sets out exactly what is covered.
